Billiards - Free Daily Play and Billiard League
Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 3:30 pm, Tuesday and Thursday 9:00 am - 8:00 pm
League (during the scheduled season) - Monday at 12:00 pm
Description: Come play a "round of pool" with friends. The billiards room at the center offers everything you need to get the game going. You can “drop-in” Monday through Friday for use of the tables (free to play) or join our popular billiards league that plays on Monday afternoon in the spring and fall. League registration begins in March and August. At this time, we ask players to bring their own equipment (cue and chalk) to the center. Please call or visit the center for additional information.
Bocce League
Monday - Friday (June - October) 9:30 am - 12:30 pm
Description: Also known as Italian lawn bowling, is one of the most widely played games in the world. The game is simple, can be played by people of all ages and skill levels. The senior center offers this FUN league from May to September. Team registration begins in the spring – no experience is necessary. Call or visit the center for details.
Coloring Club
Wednesday 1:00 pm
Description: Studies show that coloring has many beneficial outcomes and supports wellness. It stimulates brain areas connected to your motor skills, the senses and creativity. It has outstanding relaxation and de-stressing powers. So, whether if you decide to stay inside the lines, stray out of the lines or have no lines at all, come have fun with our coloring group! Bring your own coloring book and crayons, colored pencils, gel pens or markers…you decide!
Dart League - Registration is in October - League starts in November
League plays every Friday at 11:45 am from November - April
Description: "Aim for the moon if you miss, you will hit a star" − A famous quote by W. Clement Stone often comes into mind when we hear the word Dart. Darts is nothing but a game of exercising your aim for a definite success that can be achieved through strong focus and practice. Join our popular Dart League that begins in October on Wednesday morning and Thursday afternoon. Registration begins in August so stop by the center to sign-up. Call or visit the center for details.
Golf
Friday (April - September) 8:00 am
The official start of the 2022 Senior Center Golf League will begin on Friday, April 14 at the Neshaminy Valley Golf Club. All Senior Center members are welcome to join the league. Former league members will have the same tee time as last year. NEW members should arrive at 8:00 AM for a tee time. Contact the center “FORE” more information.
Table Shuffleboard League - Register in October - League starts November 8
League plays Tuesday - Friday 9:15 am or 11:00 am from November-April
Description: Table Shuffleboard is fun for any skill level, regardless of your strength or size. Shuffleboard helps to develop hand-eye coordination and requires finesse and a soft touch. Come give it a try, meet new people, have fun and reap positive health benefits! Our league begins in November and matches continue through April. Participants can start to register for a team in August – no experience is necessary. Call or visit the center for details and registration.
Table Tennis (aka Ping Pong)
Monday 1:30 pm and Friday 12:00 pm
Description: What is the most important skill in table tennis you ask? Being able to hit the ping-pong ball consistently on the table is the most important skill so let’s keep “on the ball” with table tennis. Stop by the exercise room on Monday or Friday afternoons and give it a try!
Watercolors
Tuesday 9:30 am
Description: Our Watercolors “open studio” is a perfect way to practice and socialize with your peers. An instructor will not be present so there isn't a fee for this class. Artists need to bring their own supplies. Space is limited so please call the senior center to register.
Wood Carving
Thursday 9:30 am - 12:00 pm
Description: The Wood Carving group meets to practice, learn and create wood-carved objects. No experience is necessary, however, tools are needed to participate. Stop in and visit with the group to learn about woodcarving or just to watch the group make some great creations.
